Job Description

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a motivated Audio/Video Field Installation Technician to join our growing organization in Phoenix, AZ office.  An Audio/Video Field Installation Technician at Parsons is primarily responsible to design, install, balance and maintain acoustic/sound systems and video distribution systems in variable environments to include corporate offices, board rooms and training rooms, industrial and manufacturing facilities, educational facilities, entertainment venues and auditoriums, stadiums and arenas, health and fitness facilities, and select custom residential environments. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Credentials:  Associates degree in Electronics or Systems preferred but not required.  Industry recognized audio video credentials required.  State Power Limited Technician license and/or completion of JATC sponsored apprenticeship program a plus.  
  • Experience:  Minimum three (3) years of industry experience with verifiable background in layout, installation, equalization, programming and maintenance of a broad set of acoustical and video distribution systems.  Background in Crestron systems and programming a plus.
  • Skills:  Successful candidates will have strong field installation skills, computer skills and the ability to program equipment utilizing a laptop computer.  This position requires you to be self directed and possess effective communication, troubleshooting and problem solving skills with the ability to be adaptable to our customer’s needs.  We seek candidates with a demonstrated history in the standards of installation, discipline, and attention to detail expected of skilled trades people. 
  • Travel:  Travel opportunities in support of large projects of extended duration are available.  Travel in support of smaller installations or commissioning activities is required.
