Job Description

We currently have an excellent opportunity in our Technologies Division for a motivated Project Engineer to join our growing organization.  The primary responsibilities of a Project Engineer – Technologies include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and submit shop drawings and expedite delivery of materials as required by job progress.
  • Assist with the planning of all projects to optimize efficiency of labor, material, supplies, equipment and tools.
  • Keep informed of newtechnologies, techniques and practices.
  • Provide quality service to all clients and project managers.  Return phone calls or e-mails promptly.
  • Establish and maintain a cooperative workingrelationship with other employees of the company.
  • Assist with the procurement and delivery management of materials in a planned and coordinated manner working with the Project Manager and the Purchasing Department to reduce the risk of material price fluctuation.
  • Attend project manager meetings to stay up-to-date on administrative and market conditions.
  • Monitorchange order tracking log to be sure they are accurate and provide to Project Manager for submission to customer.
  • Prepare working drawings including but not limited to slab drawings, installation drawings, coordination drawings to assist with the productive installation for the project.
  • Keep project documents updated (PCO’s, ASI’s, FISK’s, CCD’s, and RFI’s) posting, distributing, and tracking logs.
  • Follow all guidelines, policies and procedures established by the Company.

Qualifications:

  • Education:  Two (2) year degree in computer sciences, industrial technology, telecommunications, or similar discipline with Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience:  Construction industry experience preferred.

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work as a team with a positive attitude and professional customer service skills.
  • Effective communication, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Project, and electronic estimating software.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
