Parsons currently has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Safety Administrative Assistant to join its growing organization in the Minneapolis, MN office.  The Safety Administrative Assistant will work directly for the Safety Director providing administrative and technical support. The primary responsibilities of the Safety Administrative Assistant include, but are not limited to:

  • Track and maintain field employee training documents for regulatory compliance, pre-qualification & customer requirements, and training expirations.
  • Schedule and organize activities such as training, meetings, and travel.
  • Tracking of jobsite audits & observations.
  • Maintain & compile injury and incident trending.  Filing of claims, and handling of some automobile claims.
  • Assist with drug testing and pre-apprentice test scheduling, site specific safety plan completion, and background check completion.
  • Recognizes information received in the course of employment is confidential and shall not be disseminated or disclosed to other Parsons’ employees or non-employees.
  • Assist with Incident & Crisis application content & implementation.
  • Assist with writing and editing the monthly safety newsletter content.
  • Update and maintain the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) manual.
  • Assist with topic research and Safety Policy and Training material creation.
  • Assist with pre-qualifications for bids, and our subcontractor pre-qualification process.
  • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education Requirement:  Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Business, Communications or similar discipline; or similar combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience with construction, OSHA regulations and claims processes is preferred.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required and willingness to learn other software programs as needed.
