We currently have an excellent opportunity for a motivated Project Engineer to join our ecs Division in our Coon Rapids office.  The Project Engineer is responsible for managing the duties assigned by the project manager or group leader in order to facilitate an organized work-flow on the project with the project manager, customer, and project technician. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Thoroughly review and understand the drawings, specifications, and testing/inspections plan for each project as communicated by the project manager.
  • Assist with the planning of all projects to optimize efficiency of labor, material, supplies, equipment and tools.
  • Write scripts: Development of Method of Procedure (MOP’s) for complex initiatives, system functionality procedures, and integrated systems testing, etc.
  • Prepare project documents, commissioning reports, and closeout documents in a timely and accurate manner to give customers good value and ensure company profitability.
  • Data Analysis: Review and comment on collected field data.
  • Organize data as required for report generation after analysis is complete.
  • Work with the project manager to document and continually refine test and inspection procedures.
  • Keep informed of new electrical codes, technology, techniques and practices.
  • Provide quality service to all clients and project manager. Return phone calls or email promptly.
  • Complete all bids, documents and reports in an accurate, complete and professional manner.
  • Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with other employees of the company.
  • Travel as necessary.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education:  High school diploma or equivalent with trade or college electrical management schooling required. College degree in electrical management or electrical engineering preferred.
  • Experience:  Minimum three (3) years experience in the electrical construction field preferred.

 

Successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work as a team with a positive attitude and professional customer service skills.
  • Effective communication, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Project, and electronic estimating software.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
