We currently have an excellent part-time opportunity in our Technologies Division for a motivated Audio System Specialist to join our growing organization. The primary responsibilities of an Audio System Specialist include, but are not limited to:
- Provide general and technical support for technicians/installers, estimators, account managers, and project managers.
- Prepare systems documentation to include pre-sale systems drawings, systems submittals drawings, systems schematics and project documentation.
- Perform systems installation with administration and license activation.
- Coordinate and perform programming for A/V systems.
- Collaborate with other system specialist during installation of integrated systems.
- Coordinate, verify, and compile systems’ testing and commissioning reports.
- Coordinate and perform owner training.
- Perform system design from inception to completion.
- Determine take off material quantities in the amounts needed to complete projects for bid.
- Design A/V systems to meet customer needs.
- Ensure that our projects are being designed and completed to current industry standards.
- Actively participate in personal and professional development.
- Research new technologies and products and how they affect our industry.
- Develop procedures that will allow us to take advantage of new products and technologies.
- Effectively communicate with all internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
- Education: Industry related certification and/or minimum three (3) years programming and commissioning experience with Pro Audio systems.
- Experience: Experience with IT hardware, software, and/or networking preferred. Experience with other A/V system or structured cabling systems desirable.
Successful candidate will possess:
- The ability to verify proper operation of all electronic devices and signal paths within Audio Systems.
- The ability to verify all loudspeakers are performing to optimum levels.
- Skills to perform level normalization of each speaker circuit.
- The knowledge to review software and firmware for equipment and recommend updates when needed.
- The knowledge to check audio PC shut down and restart sequence to ensure correct files and actions are being loaded and systems engages.
- The ability to remove speaker output cabling from amplifiers and document impedance measurements for speaker zones at multiple frequencies.
- The knowledge to coordinate and test the Fire Alarm override functions.
- Skills to perform event support including operation of main sound board.
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Effective communication, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
- Superior customer service skills to work efficiently and effectively with both internal and external customers.
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
