Job Description

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a motivated Project Engineer to join our growing organization in our Minneapolis, MN office.  The Project Engineer is primarily responsible for job scheduling, quality control, shop drawing management, schedule management, document control and to provide quality service to all clients. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and submit shop drawings and expedite delivery of materials as required by job progress.
  • Assist with the planning of all projects to optimize efficiency of labor, material, supplies, equipment and tools.
  • Keep informed of newelectricalcodes, technology, techniques and practices.
  • Maintain effective communications and provide quality service to all clients, customers, Project Manager, Field Superintendent, and other project stakeholders.
  • Complete all bids, documents and reports in an accurate, complete and professional manner.
  • Assist with the procurement and delivery management of materials in a planned and coordinated manner.
  • Prepare and monitor change orders to be sure they are accurate and provide to Project Manager for submission to customer.
  • Prepare working drawings including but not limited to slab drawings, installation drawings, coordination drawings to assist with the productive installation for the project.
  • Travel as necessary.
  • Follow all guidelines, policies and procedures established by the Company.

Qualifications:

  • Education:  Two (2) year degree in electrical construction, construction management or similar discipline with Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience:  Minimum three (3) years experience in the electrical construction field.

 

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Good knowledge of electrical construction industry.
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work as a team with a positive attitude and professional customer service skills.
  • Effective communication, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Project, and electronic estimating software.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
