Parsons currently has an excellent opportunity for a motivated Warehouse Specialist to join our growing organization in our Minneapolis office.  The primary responsibilities of a Warehouse Specialist include, but are not limited to:

• All Receiving: Handles incoming material, UPS shipping, and miscellaneous deliveries for all divisions. Inventory management is critical to ensure proper placement, security, notification, and accuracy of all items and their locations in warehouse.
• All Shipping: Responsible for all material deliveries, UPS shipping, couriers, rental pickups, and semi-trailer deliveries.
• Electrical Prefab: Utilizes the process of receiving and delivering, documenting, and notifying of all material on Purchase Order.
• Technology and Technology Prefab: Documents all receiving and delivering and properly stores in the area identified by the person who purchased the item(s).
• Electrical/Technology: Upon notification by purchaser, items will be received, documented, and stored in the appropriate location.  Notification will be sent to purchaser for future delivery schedule of item to jobsite or picked up by field personnel.
• Schedules all deliveries from Fabrication Shops and coordinates with Tool Department to determine method of delivery.
• Receives all Parsons’ deliveries for office personal, service department packages, or any Parsons projects.
• Responds to miscellaneous requests from front office including, but not limited to water re-fills, flag duty, holiday decorations, building maintenance issues, and building/warehouse set up for various company events.
• Organization of material and re-stock inventory items in the warehouse.
• Safely operates forklift for material management.
• Provides work direction to summer helpers or light duty employees to accomplish various tasks.
• Maintains professionalism with co-workers, customers, sub-contractors, vendors, project managers, office, and field staff.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent required with an Associate’s Degree in management, logistics, or similar discipline preferred.
• Experience:  Minimum five (5) years of warehouse experience.

Successful candidate will possess:

• Ability to operate a forklift with forklift safety certification.
• Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Good knowledge of electrical construction industry.
• Strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work as a team with a positive attitude and professional customer service skills.
• Effective communication, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
