Parsons currently has an excellent opportunity for a motivated Service Project Manager to join our growing organization in our Minneapolis office.  The Service Project Manager is responsible for job estimating, job scheduling, job completion, quality control, problem resolution, coordination, job communication, job invoicing, job payments and client satisfaction activities at Parsons Electric LLC. The Service Project Manager is also responsible for managing multiple projects from their inception to completion, including the process involved in design-build or design-assist delivery.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Direct and supervise activities of each project to achieve performance for quantity and quality of work.  This includes on-site training, scheduling, establishing goals and standards.
• Ensure that all jobs or contracts are fulfilled to the customer’s satisfaction and the company has earned a fair profit.
• Plan all projects to optimize efficiency of labor, material, supplies, equipment and tools.
• Manage, plan, coordinate, and control all assigned and obtained project activities within budget guidelines to provide the maximum profit while delivering on promises to customers.
• Keep informed of new electrical codes, technology, techniques and practices.
• Promote the company image through exercising sound and ethical business practices as they relate to clients, subcontractors, suppliers and the public.
• Provide quality service to all clients.
• Complete all bids, documents and reports in an accurate, complete and professional manner.
• Ensure that all government and company requirements relating to safety, health and the environment are strictly adhered to and enforced.
• Secure materials in a planned and coordinated manner working with the Purchasing Department to reduce the risk of material price fluctuation.
• Secure subcontractors utilizing standard subcontract agreements binding them to terms similar to our contract requirements thereby assigning the appropriate risk.
• Survey job sites as needed for scope of work and to determine the most cost effective and efficient plan possible.
• Hold job start-up meetings with Superintendent, Field Supervisor, and others to transfer documentation, schedules and information.

• Follow all guidelines, policies and procedures established by the Company.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education:  Two (2) year degree in electrical construction, construction management or similar discipline preferred.

• Experience:  Five (5) years of project management experience in the electrical construction field preferred.

Successful candidates will possess:

• Good knowledge of conduit methods, wiring methods, control wiring and NEC.
• Good knowledge of electrical construction industry.
• Strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work as a team with a positive attitude and professional customer service skills.
• Effective communication, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
• Superior customer service skills to work efficiently and effectively with both internal and external customers.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Project, and electronic estimating software.
• Valid driver’s license required.
